Why Choose Us

Why organisations choose Software Insight

Six differences between Software Insight and a typical vendor:

01One suite, one database

InsightSuite replaces separate programs from different vendors with one platform and one shared database. Information entered once is available in the ledger, the archive, the dashboard and the support desk.

02Support staff in Milton, Queensland

The support desk operates Monday to Friday from Milton. 96% of calls resolve on first contact. Response targets are published and performance is reported against them every quarter.

03Plain-language licensing

The licence states what you own, what it costs, and what happens if you stop paying. No automatic lock-in renewals. On leaving, you receive a complete export of your data in standard formats.

04Australian compliance built in

Since 2000 the software has tracked Australian GST and BAS cycles, financial-year rollovers, payroll-ready exports and records-retention expectations. These ship with the product and are maintained as rules change.

05Updates as standard

Minor releases are included in the licence and arrive through the built-in update service. Major upgrades are offered to existing customers at preferential rates.

06Fixed pricing, written down

Before implementation you receive a written quote with line items for licences, data migration, configuration, training and first-year support. The quoted price holds.

The first ninety days

  1. 1
    Days 1–10

Kick-off, process review and configuration. Data is migrated with verification reports you sign off.

  2. 2
    Days 11–30

Parallel run: InsightSuite runs beside the current process for one full cycle.

  3. 3
    Days 31–60

Go-live with a consultant on call. Training runs by role, on your data.

  4. 4
    Days 61–90

First quarterly health check: usage review and open questions. The same rhythm continues for managed clients.

What we ask of customers

  • One internal owner who can decide small things quickly.
  • Real data available early, so parallel runs run against reality.
  • Report problems when they occur.

What Software Insight is not

  • Not an enterprise vendor. The fit is organisations of roughly five to two hundred staff.
  • Not a 24/7 operation. The desk runs Australian business hours, with extended hours for managed clients.
  • Not custom-is-king. Configuration first, custom second. Bespoke work is quoted separately and begun after the core is live.

Questions buyers ask before they commit

What happens to our software if Software Insight ceases trading?
Your licence is perpetual for the version you hold: the on-premises edition does not dial home to survive and keeps running without us. Our terms include a continuity undertaking — if the company could not continue, escrow arrangements transfer to a customer-nominated administrator, and hosted clients receive a complete data export plus ninety days of hosted access.
How do price increases work?
Once a year at most, announced in writing at least thirty days ahead, applied to renewals and never mid-term. The increase covers wage growth and compliance maintenance; new features remain part of the licence.
How are your support statistics calculated?
First-call resolution counts a ticket resolved within the first contact by the person who answered, measured monthly across all queues and reported quarterly to managed clients and our own management. Response targets run from the timestamp of your message to the first substantive reply by a human. The 96% figure has stayed between 94% and 97% for three years; the quarterly sheet is available on request.
What do customers most often complain about?
Two things. The report designer takes a day to learn rather than an hour; we mitigate with a course and a template library. And we are conservative about release timing: customers who want a feature this quarter sometimes wait two.
